“Fada” has released the new vehicle registration data stated to be collated in collaboration with ministry of Road transportation gathered from 1171 out of total no’s of 1443 RTO’s, for the may.2019 & there is big decline in the same year on year basis. U.P., Maharashtra & Tamilnadu are the states with highest number of registrations at 2,81,175, 1,99,509 and 158,433 respectively. The above three states along with Gujarat are leading in all categories like passenger vehicle, commercial vehicles, two wheelers & three wheelers as far as the new registrations are concerned.
Growth wise Arunachal Pradesh stands at the top with 31% & west Bengal at the bottom with -27% decline in new vehicle registrations. In PV category, Chhattisgarh registered highest YoY growth of 36% while Manipur registered highest YoY degrowth of -25%. In 2W category, Sikkim registered highest YoY growth of 67% while Haryana registered highest YoY decline of -30%. In CV category, Goa registered highest YoY growth of 48% while Jharkhand registered highest YoY decline of -45%.
There is continuous decline in sales of most categories YOY basis for last few months & stock inventory is piling up at dealerships as well as at stock yards of the manufacturers. Outlook for the next few months is also being projected as negative in growth.
